Newton

Newton Township, PA is a lovely, sprawling community that is part rural/agricultural and part suburban.  Boasting some of the prettiest views in the Abingtons, Newton Township is home to just about 2700 people.  The Newton-Ransom Elementary building is here, sharing it's place in the world with the Abington Heights Middle School

Newton Township is a lovely place to live and also a nice place to spend a relaxing weekend.  The Red Barn Village Bed & Breakfast, in it's pretty country setting, is close to farm stands and golf courses as well as area restaurants and kid's activities.  Newton Township offers a little bit of country living only 10 minutes from the heart of Clarks Summit and 20 minutes from Scranton.  Peaceful and quiet, yet close to everything - what a wonderful combination!

While most housing in Newton Township is single family homes, there are a few multi-family and mobile homes as well. Many of the homes in Newton Township sit on larger parcels than in the smaller Abington towns.
